You pin
Drag the map until the crosshair lands on the water. Name the spot. Add a photo if you like.
A world map for the swimming spots people pass along by word of mouth. You pin yours. You decide who sees them.
You get them from an uncle, a friend, someone in the village. The pool under the old bridge. The flat rock at the end of a dirt track. The cove where there's never anyone.
The Wild Swim Society is a map for those places. You pin your spot on the satellite view, down to the metre. You note what people need to know before going: the bottom, the current, where to leave the car.
A spot starts out hidden. It stays hidden until you decide to show it: to your friends, to one person with a link, or to all members. You can change your mind at any time.
Nothing leaves this place. Without an account, you see no spots. Neither do search engines.

Only you, your friends, or all members. You set it spot by spot.
Each spot shows the water temperature, the weather, the tides and the river flow when we have them.
No account needed for that one. The map gathers readings from thousands of buoys and stations in more than twenty countries. Every number says where it comes from, who measured it and when.
Where there is no instrument, we show an estimate from a satellite or a model. It always says so: an estimate is never passed off as a measurement.
Pin it. It stays yours for as long as you want.
